Hannibal Regional Hospital Foundation recently announced the 2011 Annual Campaign of Rays of Hope.   The Rays of Hope campaign is raising funds for state of the art equipment and resources for the James E. Cary Cancer Center (JECCC).  Donations to the campaign will assist in offering treatment and hope to community members as they fight cancer.

“Cancer affects us all, and we are honored to raise funds for the James E. Cary Cancer Center, which is truly a beacon of hope in our community,” stated Wendy Harrington, President of Hannibal Regional Hospital Foundation.  “We would like to thank those who have already donated to this important campaign. Our Foundation is truly blessed to serve a community that is so caring and supportive.”

The James E. Cary Cancer Center offers care and hope through advanced clinical technology provided by a compassionate team of experts.  Each year, the James E. Cary Cancer Center provides more than 5,000 radiation and chemotherapy treatments to patients who consistently rate their care as excellent.  Patients can take advantage of any of the many support groups or educational classes offered at the JECCC.  The JECCC is accredited by the American College of Surgeon’s Commission on Cancer and the American College of Radiology

The economics of healthcare present a constant challenge to hospitals all over the nation, including Hannibal Regional Hospital.  Hannibal Regional Healthcare System has not wavered in its commitment to serve the acute care needs of residents in northeast Missouri, western Illinois and southeast Iowa.
